Big ice box is bugged

The "big ice box" is not working properly. Food inside rots normally, even when there is ice inside. Is there anything else I have to do to make it work other than placing some ice inside? There is a small icon on the top right side of the inventory screen, that is supposed to show how long the ice will last, but it never shows anything, it is always empty.

You need ice in your inventory and click that small icon on the right you mentioned. That will load the ice properly and it'll work. You can store extra in a slot in the fridge, but that won't keep the food cold.

Are you putting the ice in that little icon at the top, or just putting it in the fridge inventory?

Oh my god, thank you! I had tried every possible way to try to make it work, except that apparently 😅. I watched a few youtube videos and everybody had the ice inside the ice box, so I thought that was the right way 😅. Thank you so much both of you for the answers. Clicking on the ice in my inventory did the trick. Not super intuitive, maybe a small tooltip or something to add to the tutorial in the future?
