Old Boots

Does anyone know what to do with all of the old boots you get when fishing or are they a throw away item?

They are useless, but they might be useful for something in the future.

I've been saving the old boots in my storage chest since no one wants to buy them and they don't make very good gifts, most villagers get unhappy about it. I think maybe the Milliner or Blacksmith actually appreciated the gift when I tried, maybe because their profession can use that old leather? Worth a try!

Thank you both. I have been throwing them away, but I will try to gift them to the Milliner , see what happens.
