What are developers' attitudes toward cheat engine?

I've noticed that lots of people using cheat engine in idle games. So is it allowed? Are developers actively banned those who use it? To what extent is the use of cheat engine permitted (e.g. imporve some QoL)?

I've search "cheat engine" in discussions, and find some clues of developers' attitude towards cheat engine, see Save file corrupted? (They don't recover modified save data).

I somewhat hate cheat engine. I once played Bloons TD 6 for a long long time. But I uninstalled the game as soon as I used the cheat engine for a day. It hurts my fun of playing, and hurts all players when there are leaderboards.

I like FAPI, so I hope we can play it in a fair environment for a long time.

is a solo game if is no event and for leaderbord dosent matter if people m,ust cheat , this dont disturb youand there dont get reward for be place 1

and each game have leaderboard and hight rang and not close all or many have same time and seconds is cheating is nothing new

why waste time with them better focus on another stuff
