just curious. which pet did u redeem with the free token? do u redeem the ones available now, or u wait for the later levels?

Wait for the very last pet on the list that requires 30,000 hours (1250 days) at base to hit pity. Or have faith that you will get more free tokens/buy them, and in this case there are several others good to consider.

yes that's what i thought at first, but i'm wondering if there's a pet at earlier level with a good bonus that can give me a boost. currently on A6. waiting for the last level seems a bit faraway right now

i used the token for a pet at the end of world 4.
I don't see any reason to hold the token while i am grinding up. Better use the pet now then later when i have already done all.
Also the dev said that there will be pet token rewards in further updates, so i don't hold on the one token now. My opinion is that a pet now will benefit more over time up to the last world than waiting for the last pet at all

If we're having faith in more tokens, I've been thinking that saving for 5-9 or 6-2 or E7R or E9R would be good choices where I am currently, E7 being the only one of those I have immediate access to. For earlier, 5-2 carries hard and doubles as one of the highest pity anyway, if nowhere near that yet than that I'd suggest 4-5.

I need to put my free token to use somewhere as well. All the pets up through 4-9 were unlocked already before new pets were added / before pet tokens were a thing. (And 4-9 went all the way to the pity timer, unfortunately.) I can at best reach up to area 5-3 right now. I see that 5-2 has the same pity timer as 4-9 and a lot of areas are less severe than them. So that's probably the best choice for me to use this one on.

Looking ahead I see that 5-5 is the next one with a really bad pity timer, and then 5-9 is worse than 5-5, and then 6-2 is worse than 5-9. Don't know if any of those deserve to be considered for token usage later.

I don't know where to even start with picking a reasonable token unlock out of the pets that we can now get from expeditions (and I haven't even unlocked any of those pets naturally yet) but the first 6 expedition zones are the ones that I've unlocked so far... Looks like E5R has the worst pity timer out of that range. And looking ahead... E9R is the next one that gets as long as E5R. But then E10R has a pity timer that's just insane and makes all the other expedition pities look like jokes.

It's hard to find a better candidate than the one of E10R: absurdingly low chances, three great bonus.
Other candidates would be 5-9, 6-2, E9R: all of them having reincarnation exp. Expedition 9 may be not be that hard to unlock (at least way easier than 5-9, world 6 isn't there yet) if you really want to spend that token early.
