But yeah. Generally the idea should be to set some sort of goal for what you're trying to do at the current moment (or with the current reincarnation overall) and then set up a team that gets you whatever relevant combo bonuses you can get (a change a few weeks ago added a combo button at the top of the pets page that changes to a page that can show you the different ways to get every type of combo (I'm not sure but I think this automatically shows all of the options based on your currently unlocked pets, I don't think you need to guess and test to stumble across them first)) before filling in the leftover spots with any regular bonus that might also help with what you're trying to do.
No one specific group will be any sort of "ultimate answer". There won't be a "one size fits all" solution that you can use for everything.
Expeditions: 2 air, 2 land (to max synergy). What to use for each team is a matter of how much effort you're willing to put in (e.g. matching teams to expeditions to max out resource gain or making teams with higher damage output) but ensuring all your general team(s) are represented to keep their ranks increasing is what I make a priority (and not bother myself with minmaxing expedition rewards).
General. (Second-hand info) the discord said the following team covers the most stat areas:
Swamp King, Tock, Sigma, Niord, Icare, The Governess
Giving it a go I find potato is the only stat missing. A thing to bare in mind is you only need whack score and reincarnation xp when playing the whack game or reincarnating so having those areas is a bit of waste but there probably is not a team the excludes those but includes potato.
You then switch to specialist teams when pushing a stat (e.g. when upgrading equipment use item rating pets but if less than 6 fill the rest of the slots with a drop & bonus cap combo).
Because you find more and more pets down the line, and the later ones have more stats and generally more desirable stats as well.
Combo-based teams are the exception here, because those can include even really common pets and are typically only used for a combo-team every now and then (for example to maximize your whack score, milk production, farming, item rating, etc).
Two types of teams are a no-brainer:
1) One tema with as many +reincarnation exp% pets as possible.
2) And one team with as many +item rating % pets as possible.
Your main team aka the team you use the most, can include pets that are used in other teams as well, but i would always look out for +card power and +residue% pets. Because those two stats are really good to run 24/7.
SK,Noop,Julian vs SK,Vishnou,Julian ???
I prefer SK,Vishnou,Julian, because whack and confection on Noop are rather lackluster % boni and Vishnou will combo with Julian for a +10% milking timer (aka more residue as well). That and item rating % is always nice to have.
sk,olaf,julian vs sk,vishnou,julian ?
olaf gives a direct residue bonus.... would that math out to more than the milking timer boost?
And yes, Olaf would certainly end up providing you with more residue than a 10% milking timer combo bonus.
I always try to have at least 1-2 pets on my most used team that have +residue%.
Because residue is really really useful.
