can you explain what happened please, explaining the context in which the problem occurred. Was there an update and did you have the game running the whole time, were you using multiple devices and they didn't sink up.. there are so many possible issues, and 48 hours isn't even the tutorial for a game like this, after you get into it you will have 1000's of hours in no time and still be looking forward to 1000's more hours, so losing 48 is hardly a drop in the bucket. You haven't lost much, 2 days is just the time its takes me to start a single run on any given class, just the starting combo on one day, and getting potato and class the next, then I spend a day on skulls, then a day on worms, and then I do a day on confection, and then I rotate back and do potato and class again now that all the other stats are boosted and then I let the class run at its peek for a few days generating what its best at, so if its for gear, I just slap on a 6 pet combo for gear and let it run for a few days periodically popping item potions when I have the item rating whack bonus, if its the harvester I'll go back to the worm combo and rotate between that and a larva quantity combo for a few days, if its the rancher I am going to through on my 6 pet combo for milk and brew and just let it run, then there is my residue class build, and then there is just pushing for reincarnation, and there there is the build for just pushing higher levels by talenting for max potato fighting stats, but each one is a week long process of running the game, so 48 hours is really a drop in the bucket when it comes to the progression system, it takes time and dedication to play this game. and don't forget the max whack build and the pet leveling build, and the poop generating build, as well as the fermentation and calcium build, they all get rotated in. I would suggest you keep playing, 2 days is really no time at all mate. Each of these builds can be min maxed in the talent tree and with pet combo's, plus the use of potions at the right time. then you have the expeditions which take a great deal of forethought because you have to design teams that enhance your rewards based on which location they expedition to, and that has to be balanced with making sure that you have access to certain pets for your combo's and you have to time the expeditions in 10-12 hour increments so that you can always collect and send them back out in a timely manner based on what your schedule looks like, maybe you just put on the automated expedition tool and let it run for a few days if your already at the end of a build and your just collecting max residue or milk at that point and so you can just set the game aside for a few days and come back when your ready. I take more time off than you have played just to let a whack build run or to let a few expeditions run, just so I can get an upgrade in either of those shops. anyway, don't be disappointed, You truly didn't loose much friend, you can probably get back what you lost even faster that it took you to get to begin with now that you understand the mechanics, and you can always just let the game run on autopilot for a few weeks to just generate souls and then you can buy upgrades in the shop and then start playing, this isn't a game you main, or even jump on and play for an afternoon, this is a game you hop in and out of of and your sessions are weeks long but only 1 hour or 2 every day, or even every other day, its a long haul not sprint.

I'm not new to idle games. There are some that i have thousands of hours in, but losing everything except the first 5 minutes after 2 days of playing? That doesn't bode well for the future. To answer your question though, i had it open and running in the background the whole time. I usually do that when i start playing a new idle game. My computer runs 24/7 unless there's a power outage. At some point, with each idle game, i'll shut it down and let the offline aspect kick in. I never had a problem with any other idle game when doing this. When i start the game up again, i get offered to load my game, i do so, and i'm back to the basic farmer, level 11. And that's that.

this is a little weird hmm i'm going to take a look at the server. Power outtage is know for doing weird on the offline save BUT our online one is pretty strong now (as you can see not many post/review or even report about issue and there is 10k players daily)
Weirdest thing is that every if the game "rollback" (no idea how) 48h, when u "load" it should give you the offline (and being offline right after starting the game, which happen to me a lot as i test running a new game, save & close, come back 3 days later and i always hvae a farmer lv100+ due to offline without having any interaction with the game like upgrade etc)
I will try to take a look tomorow or this week
