Help with worm farming please
I am using a level 2436 Harvester with 250% worm chance up talents, 9 worm up talents, Potato skill Increase Worm Drop Chance at 46%. In my worm count it says "34 worms can be found by defeating potatoes (0.0588%)"

I am not getting very many worms. I have been grinding level 1-5 through 1-9 on medium all day and only at 918 worms.

Is this normal? Any tips for getting worms quicker? I am trying to get more cows. Thanks for the help.

If you don't have very many talent points, it may be better to just try to push reincarnation levels so you can get to higher class levels. When I farm worms or larva, I fully commit; main priority is just getting as many + nodes as possible.

The Ranchers 3000+ tree has specialty nodes that multiply the Larva+ and Worm+ nodes. makes it possible to have over 200 bonus drop.

To have all the Worm or Larva+ nodes and both of the Rancher and Farmers 25 point nodes that have "Multiply total node bonus of Agi, Worm & Larva quantity nodes, you'll need about 1550-1570 Talent points.
I currently do not know how many talent points you'd need for maxing out the farming asap though. I'll update if I reincarnate before someone else answers.

~ 810 talent points are required to get to every worm drop bonus. Thats 36 extra worm drop. (not including the worm chance up nodes)
~ 1015 talent points to get every Worm Chance up node, the 25 point node multipliers, and some of worm drop bonus nodes. +900% Chance up, +101 Worm drop.
~ 1070 talent points to get every worm drop bonus and the 25 point node multipliers from Rancher and Farmer. Bringing it up to 201 extra worm drop. (does not include all the Worm Chance Up nodes)
~ 1175 talent points to get every Worm Chance up node, the 25 point node multipliers, and all of worm drop bonus nodes. +900% Chance up, +201 Worm drop.
~1555 talent points to get every worm drop bonus, 25 point node multipliers, and all 6 base residues. Depending on where you spent some of your points you'll also be able to get all of the worm drop chance nodes as well with 1555 points.

How many cows have you purchased already? As well as, do you have the Reincarnation shops reduce worms needed to purchase cow buff?

Doing a single dedicated long worm/larvae run (as freeload cuz gear hunting duh) is worth imo, even if it means getting 0 reinc nodes that one time. One run like that covers all your larvea needs until you ascend and should get you enough cows that getting more is a relatively minor increase.
Worms are a chance per-kill. So maximize kills/s.
Medium is 2x worms.
Also, be mindful of which potato/skull upgrades you have on auto. For example, you don't need to auto upgrade reinc throughout the entire run. Do the other useful things, and switch to that only at the end of a run.

I have 3 cows right now. I have maxed the reduced cow purchase buff as soon as I started getting milk. That was my first goal since cows cost so much. I think my reincarnation level is at a little over 800. I get roughly 130 talent points at reincarnation. I am assuming I am still pretty far off from getting thousands of worms from what I understand with your info. Also, is larvae only used to add to the confection bonus or should I keep those for something else?

maybe u already know this, but i'll share anyway.

use specific class for specific bonus.
harvester -> worms
freeloader -> equipments
rancher -> milk

usually just by using the harvester class i can farm worms much easier than any other class even if i spread my talents generally. if u're going for max bonuses, go for worm related talents only and not fill any others not needed to reach them.

farm medium difficulty areas for 2x worm drops.

higher rated gears would have more bonuses, one in particular is worm quantity. so trying to reach higher stage and farm better equipment is also good strategy

larvae is only for confection exp bonus and nothing else

also, u need to raise all classes level so ur talent points would increase every time u reincarnate. so only using specific classes and ignore the others would give u very low talent points. raise their levels equally for more talent points

I prefer dumping early larva into Potato, Class, Skulls.
My priority is basically: Potato, Class, Skulls, Reincarnation, Item Drop, Critical, Evasion, Item Rarity, Milk. Once you get enough Milk to unlock brewing is when I would start putting larva into brewing, but not before.

As for what they do, I assume it's an experience multiplier for the stat its in. It definitely speeds up the how fast the stats you invested larva into on the reincarnation and you put some poop in it.

If you plan your build out, Between 800-1015 talent points will allow you to farm a lot of worms fairly fast. See previous reply to this topic for some breakdowns.

I would also have to say that farming for worms before you have the shop upgrade that makes Medium Difficulty have a 4x worm multiplier might not be worth it to invest a lot of time into it. After that, 12hr-24hr of worm farming on medium to get as many cows as you can in the period. Then going back to reincarnation level farming until you easily hit the 1015-1175 talent point builds.

It's important to note that letting your other classes fall behind in levels is reducing your talent points total. Try to keep them within a few hundred of each other.

Thanks for the info. All my classes are above 2000 right now. When I started the game I tried keeping them all about the same. Not sure why, but now I am glad I did.
