Poop bonus

What does poop bonus affect exactly? The rate poop is made; the amount of poop that is made; the effect poop has on confection speed, ...? And how does it scale vs. confection exp bonus?

I have gear with 15% confection exp on it, and the next tier gear gives me 5% poop bonus but removes all the confection exp and i do not know which is better to have.

It affects how much poop you get each time your orange meter fills up. So there is a strong synergy to the 3 parts of the game, Breeding, poop, and worms. Meaning, more worms = more poop, more poop stat makes more poop per worm and eventually, using the ascension perk for a quicker breeding interval multiplies the whole process further. The 4th component is confection, which the more you stack, increases the effect of the poop after it is spent in the various stat bars, increasing the relative xp rate.
