C9 difficulty overtuned?
Wondering what the general consensus is for those who have been able to unlock and attempt the poor naked one challenge. The stat reduction is definitely most painful in the huge loss to health, being able to one shot enemies doesn't mean much when they can knock off up to 1/3rd of your HP per hit. I did manage to beat it on my second to last reinc on A2, now in A3 trying it in the mid 4k RLs and even using different classes, no luck. Currently trying rancher, 50% dodge and no reinc nodes, focusing fully on boosting stats particularly HP. And i still die within 3 seconds of potatoes reaching my farmer (one shotting them doesn't help much when the heart potatoes survive to keep hitting you for a few seconds after they have no HP). If this is a challenge that can't be beat until you are basically done with your ascension, that seems overtuned because you won't be able to get any real benefit out of it. Unless someone has found a secret tip to helping clear through it?

I beat it pretty easily mid way through A2, farm loads of milk first and it's not too bad

Finally got through it in A3. used smasher. Page 1 skulls, had both atk and hp OVER 9000! (sorry, had to meme). crit and evade both 25%, attack speed was 3.72. page 3 had 130 levels in reducing enemy attack and HP. 1000 talent points, no loot or reinc nodes, got extended talents for fighting ability and str. milk had 1.29e7% increases for both attack and HP. Seems the whole thing comes down to "one shot all enemies, then just repeat the level ad infinitum until RNG gives you few heart enemies, and you can dodge all their attacks". I just sat on 2-4 for a while, slowly getting skull levels up, would range from dying at round 23 to 48 for a while, until i finally got lucky enough to hit 50 after about 15 minutes

Dont forget to use potion buffs

yeah, i used pot in part because whack refused to give me useful buffs. couldn't get atk or HP buff the entire time :-\

It's in fact insanely hard and after letting my rancher build its stats overnight I barely reached 2-4-27 on my best try.
And is the description misleading or does that challenge become harder with each ascension?

It does get harder each Ascension. Roughly (and on average) 6% per ascension.
A0 it's about 92.5% stat reduction while at A5 it's 95.2% (so your stats in A0 are 7.5% of your total and at A5 it's only 4.8% of your total, which is about 36% less stats than A0).
At A11 it would be about 97.25% stat reduction (just 2,75% of your total stats) or 64% less stats than A0.

Edit: Stupid me, I failed my maths on an epic level.
Still feel weird that the challenge becomes harder with every ascension but that's not as abominable as I imagined.

Pretty sure something is wrong in those math :o (even A1 is off by a lot)

Right now it does (Dmg ^ (0.44 - 0.02 * AscCount)) so it's never "7.5% of total", at first if you have e30 it's e13, which would be 0.000000000001% of total :p

But yeah regardless its a bit less "rough" each ascension and in the next update the -0.02 part change to -0.01

Unfortunately it's fair to say that this challenge is my least favourite one, so i'm looking forward to any changes made to it.
Especially as the time difference between unlocking it and being able to complete it seems to get longer with each ascension. That part just doesn't feel good.

New best try at 2-4-48:
It was a combination of almost everything build toward Attack and Health with multiple evades in a row, a potion and the two whack buffs that matter. As I'm near the end of my ascension, my stats increase slow down to a crawl and it really feels like the only way to complete the challenge is to pile RNG on top of more RNG.

I definitly don't like that challenge.

You're supposed to do it when you have enough milk (1-2 bill) in each attack and def.
Jaxors Oct 14, 2022 @ 3:01pm
I had 3b in attack and hp milk boost and did the challenge in about 50 minutes. A3 3900 reincarnation points. It's really about allocating the proper resources as you level up through the game. Everything falls off slowly once a new aspect is added. ie potato boost doesn't matter as much as farming milk, brew, etc

In ascension 4, got 17e9 in both attack and HP with both attack/hp buff from Whack. Randomly dying from 2-4-20 to 2-4-40 (huge range).

I don't see the point of this challenge with the amount of rng required. Challenges should favor some kind of strategy. I understand that this one will be tuned again :-)

Next update has a rework of C9 (and C10 implemented with the rework) which will make it less of a luck based challenge for many

Great!
