Medkits

Does someone know how to get medkits in the game??? I'm picking up the medical gel plants every time I see them, yet haven't found how to get real medkits.

Seems you need to extract with them, and if you have potion slots, you will get some healing charge(s?) for the next run. It's pretty unintuitive.

It appears that the gel plants can be turned into medkits - you either need to interact with a respawn point, or they are auto recycled into medkits on a new run. I haven't worked out what the conversion rate of gel plants to medkits is though.

Tried it, and it didn't work, I extracted with 5, and don't have any for the new run.

I've extracted with medigems and when i start a new run it says "converting" but i get no healing kits from this, feels like a bug

This might be my biggest issue. I find myself running around just looking for gel healing plants instead of playing the game, due to the inability to unlock the medkit.

Unlock it from the person immediately on your right after loading into the hub (straight ahead from respawn) named Pherus Bit, you need a Gold Ration, which seems to be a level up currency you can get after finishing a few cycles.

Agreed. The exploration and combat actually feels very solid but this has been my priority like constantly

Yeah its definitely a feature that really needed a lot more explanation, because not beginning with a medkit from the start seems kinda bad. Especially when you're playing solo.

You can actually find Gold Rations out in the field. I found one in an underground chamber that needed a key to open. Wasn't an easy grab since it also involved a prism fight, but they are out there.
