Why is this game being review bombed?
It is an early access game and from a nice small studio... How can it have so many bad reviews in less than a day and these reviews receiving almost hundred likes?

The irony is a lot of them make good points, but they'd be better served posting them here or on the official Discord instead of dropping negative reviews that do nothing but hurt the game's reputation.

So the reviews are doing what they suppose to do? Good to know! Reviews are meant to help us consumers make a proper choice of getting a product or avoiding it. Can't get mad if the game has issues or little content, especially for a early access game.

many bad reviews because game seems to be severely lacking. you can see that because EVERY negative review gives an explanation of this, if it was "review bombing" then there wouldn't be any reasoning to that.

the negative reviews get so many likes because they affirm the review.

you can see how undercooked the game is sadly by watching some youtuber play it.

i had high hopes but no gameplay before release was a huge red flag and the visuals (terrain textures) are quite obviously downgraded and it seems it still runs like arse.

right wingers seething because they need to be mad and are poor

A lot of the negative reviews are just.

Lack of options for graphics, lack of direction, little to know details on anything important. (Hell, even Elden ring had some details on things to understand stuff.) Even targeting is subpar and the hitboxes are just weird. Parry leaves much to be desired.

bruh look at the price lol
This is probably the worst point you'll hear about this game considering what price indie games and Early Access games come out at these days. Frothing at the mouth over $30 is wild.

It's not "review bombing" you ****. It's leaving opinions by clients who bought the game. Wake up from your furry rainbow LPGLGTV+ world

I'm going to take a photo of a white piece of paper with a drawing of a of a cute cat holding a sword. At the top it will say (Untitled greatest MMO)
and set the price at 30 Dollars USD.

"What are you guys upset about?? You KNOW you bought my game that's in early access right? This is to help fund my development of the game, I promise in time you will get the full promised product, you just need to be patient and trust the process."

People are complaining about performance and control rebinding, which heavily hinder the experience for people that need those.

That being said, the game came out literally like 4 hours ago and they already said they plan on addressing these ASAP. People are babies.

I played until I died, lost my gear and decided the game wasn't for me. YMMV.

It's not being Reviewbombed .People are being honest. It's extremely Rough, you can tell from the gameplay That's being streamed right now. It's going to need a lot of time. Not a big deal
It mostly definitely is, many of the earliest negative reviews are from people who played the game for "0.3 hours" or so. That is not even 30 minutes. That reeks of review brigading / review bombing. If there is any such things going on, I suspect members of communities like r/kotakuinaction to be honest. Especially also since there has been some people coming into the official Heart Machine Discord server who screamed about SBI, slung slurs or gave childish nicknames to the devs and talked about woke ♥♥♥♥, in addition to claims of performance issues. The last thing is fine, the rest is not, and some of them did indeed leave such reviews. Many of them indicating short gametimes like the one I mentioned.

Don't give them excuses, we're in 2025, if they don't have ideas for their game there are PLENTY of good examples out there they can play.

This doesn't even have the basics of modern gaming (NO PAUSE while you still need to read a bunch of text or interact with your inventory, what is this? Also what do stats even do? it doesn't tell you anywhere...), lock-on is terrible, combat feels very clunky, lots of weird hitboxes, the performance is very lackluster, etc.

I was going to use Mouse and Keyboard but there's no option to change the camera speed for some reason so I haven't been able to use it, had to switch to gamepad. Fine, but why not have the most basic option that's available in most games FPS/TPS?

The loot doesn't feel very exciting so far but I've only played 2 hours so we'll see.
I finally got to the first crown and damn, this is a mess. I don't see how I'll be able to fight this without doing hit and run for half an hour... It's not like Elden Ring where you can dodge and parry properly, here the parry doesn't work half the time (because of the framerate issues most likely) and the dodge doesn't seem to have iframes (or the hitboxes are not following the shape of objects)....

And it's over 25 euros?
I can't, this isn't even EA worthy, even the foundations are lackluster. There are some good ideas and I'm sure it will get better, but this should have launched after more testing instead.
There can't be a pause button for this type of game at all. It is supposed to be dangerous at all times in the Overgrowth, and it would especially not help in co-op where players are supposed to be able to move individually. So, I don't agree with this one.

Performance, lack of some depth, I agree with those opinions though.

Some people are leaving negative reviews because of them working with SBI like a year and a half ago
It was actually two years ago.

People not knowing what "Early Access" means. People need to stop buying an Early Access (which is literally like, alpha/beta stages) and expecting it to be just 99% done and not a game still very much so in development.

If you do not want to participate in a game's development/Early Access, don't buy an Early Access game, simple as that. If you buy an Early Access game and whine it's not to your standard of "quality" that is 100% on you.

devs shouldn't be charging $30 either when it's lacking basic features
