I believe this was a mistake.
It sounds like this game is releasing 20% done. Way too early. (2 bosses, 3 breakers)
And I thought windblown was too early/too little content.
The irony is a lot of them make good points, but they'd be better served posting them here or on the official Discord instead of dropping negative reviews that do nothing but hurt the game's reputation.
you charge money for something people expect a certain standard, either release a free demo or have some polish for the price you charge, otherwise it comes off as rushed and/or greedy
The other 95% of the problem stems from technical issues like a extremely limited options menu that doesn't even let you turn on v sync and extremely poor optimisation (mid-high end rigs struggling to push 30 fps in the hub area).
So it's technical issues.
Reviews can change, some people would rather not spend the cash and let the game sit till it's in a better state.
This doesn't even have the basics of modern gaming (NO PAUSE while you still need to read a bunch of text or interact with your inventory, what is this? Also what do stats even do? it doesn't tell you anywhere...), lock-on is terrible, combat feels very clunky, lots of weird hitboxes, the performance is very lackluster, etc.
I was going to use Mouse and Keyboard but there's no option to change the camera speed for some reason so I haven't been able to use it, had to switch to gamepad. Fine, but why not have the most basic option that's available in most games FPS/TPS?
The loot doesn't feel very exciting so far but I've only played 2 hours so we'll see.
I finally got to the first crown and damn, this is a mess. I don't see how I'll be able to fight this without doing hit and run for half an hour... It's not like Elden Ring where you can dodge and parry properly, here the parry doesn't work half the time (because of the framerate issues most likely) and the dodge doesn't seem to have iframes (or the hitboxes are not following the shape of objects)....
And it's over 25 euros?
I can't, this isn't even EA worthy, even the foundations are lackluster. There are some good ideas and I'm sure it will get better, but this should have launched after more testing instead.
Weapons/gadgets seems fun enough to discover but the passive upgrades have just been +X% whatever with this specific weapon type. It's not interesting.
Optimization seems atrocious currently.
Mobs are dumb, get blocked by slight elevation and the pathfinding in general seems lacking. They should also be able to jump down cliffs to chase you instead of going all the way around. It all feels very amateurish in this aspect.
Meta progression didn't look that interesting at first glance.
Movement felt weird to me, hoverboard doesn't feel that good to control for example.
Hitting flying enemies feels pretty jank tbh. If you don't have ammo its atrocious
Extremely expensive for what it seems to have and the overall lack of polish.
I will not review it but if i did, with my short experience with it, it would be a thumbs down. It's not unsalvageable, i even think the concept behind it is sound, but it needs a LOT of work.
