Why is this game being review bombed?
It is an early access game and from a nice small studio... How can it have so many bad reviews in less than a day and these reviews receiving almost hundred likes?

Indie developers shouldn't do early access if the game isn't at least like 60-80% done. Customers are not understanding unfortunately.

I believe this was a mistake.

It sounds like this game is releasing 20% done. Way too early. (2 bosses, 3 breakers)

And I thought windblown was too early/too little content.

Because some people don't seem to understand that they're paying for the right to beta test the game, and seem to have come in under the belief they'd be playing something near-complete. The game's been out for only a few hours, and I haven't seen any reviews posted with more than an hour and a half of playtime, so I can only assume that these people are either very naive about what Early Access entails or they're deliberately stirring the pot.

The irony is a lot of them make good points, but they'd be better served posting them here or on the official Discord instead of dropping negative reviews that do nothing but hurt the game's reputation.

poor performance, lack of settings/options, early access for the price they are asking even with hyper light drifter as part of it, its a lot for a little, you cant just write off tons of issues as "early access", unfortunately or not people expect a certain standard if you are releasing a game, a free beta test and no one bats an eye, €26 and people are rightfully annoyed

you charge money for something people expect a certain standard, either release a free demo or have some polish for the price you charge, otherwise it comes off as rushed and/or greedy

Some people are leaving negative reviews because of them working with SBI like a year and a half ago - Personally for me this is a non issue but I can see why some people have problems with what employees from that company have said and done like saying they want to burn the games industry to the ground and their open racism to white people. (this is like 5% of the problem)

The other 95% of the problem stems from technical issues like a extremely limited options menu that doesn't even let you turn on v sync and extremely poor optimisation (mid-high end rigs struggling to push 30 fps in the hub area).

bruh look at the price lol

The vast majority of reviews don't even have more than an hour of playtime.

So it's technical issues.

Because it's not in a very great state? Yes I know it's early access but that doesn't mean I can't leave a negative review and to let people know.
Reviews can change, some people would rather not spend the cash and let the game sit till it's in a better state.
Performance is what I'm seeing a lot of people complaining about. To a lesser extent its $30 asking price for whats currently available.

Don't give them excuses, we're in 2025, if they don't have ideas for their game there are PLENTY of good examples out there they can play.

This doesn't even have the basics of modern gaming (NO PAUSE while you still need to read a bunch of text or interact with your inventory, what is this? Also what do stats even do? it doesn't tell you anywhere...), lock-on is terrible, combat feels very clunky, lots of weird hitboxes, the performance is very lackluster, etc.

I was going to use Mouse and Keyboard but there's no option to change the camera speed for some reason so I haven't been able to use it, had to switch to gamepad. Fine, but why not have the most basic option that's available in most games FPS/TPS?

The loot doesn't feel very exciting so far but I've only played 2 hours so we'll see.
I finally got to the first crown and damn, this is a mess. I don't see how I'll be able to fight this without doing hit and run for half an hour... It's not like Elden Ring where you can dodge and parry properly, here the parry doesn't work half the time (because of the framerate issues most likely) and the dodge doesn't seem to have iframes (or the hitboxes are not following the shape of objects)....

And it's over 25 euros?
I can't, this isn't even EA worthy, even the foundations are lackluster. There are some good ideas and I'm sure it will get better, but this should have launched after more testing instead.

It is 30 dollars and came out in a bad way, just read the reviews lmao. Nobody is bombing it, its just the real reviews coming in.
Because it costs like AAA-games in some countries (in Russia it costs like BG 3) + HYB feels more like techno demo than actual early access game

Because it is missing the basics, Runs poorly, doesn't explain anything, targeting and hit boxes are substandard.

Lack of setting, lacks lots of basic qol. You can't even pause the game when playing solo either. Why, this isn't dark souls.
Weapons/gadgets seems fun enough to discover but the passive upgrades have just been +X% whatever with this specific weapon type. It's not interesting.
Optimization seems atrocious currently.
Mobs are dumb, get blocked by slight elevation and the pathfinding in general seems lacking. They should also be able to jump down cliffs to chase you instead of going all the way around. It all feels very amateurish in this aspect.
Meta progression didn't look that interesting at first glance.
Movement felt weird to me, hoverboard doesn't feel that good to control for example.
Hitting flying enemies feels pretty jank tbh. If you don't have ammo its atrocious
Extremely expensive for what it seems to have and the overall lack of polish.
I will not review it but if i did, with my short experience with it, it would be a thumbs down. It's not unsalvageable, i even think the concept behind it is sound, but it needs a LOT of work.
It's not being Reviewbombed .People are being honest. It's extremely Rough, you can tell from the gameplay That's being streamed right now. It's going to need a lot of time. Not a big deal
