Hyper Light Breaker

Its reminding me why I never finished Drifter

I'm struggling to get into the game. Constant fps issues, and I'm getting ganked as soon as I load in with no health pickups or ammo in sight. Hopefully I'm doing something wrong as so far I'm not really feeling it for this title.

The stuttering is probably why I will get a refund. The 1% lows are always half of what is being displayed even when staring at a wall or the ground. The game over screen takes forever to get back to the game too. That is just poor design for a roguelike I should be right back into the game as soon as I die. Also the combat feels like hot trash and flying enemies you can't really do any air combos on them so you hit them they fall and then you attack them. Pretty lame.
i can get over the game being unbalanced and janky but what i cant get over is the stuttering and the sensitivity you cant change ive set my mouse as low as i can by itself and i still do 360 turns in the game
I wont review it till its out of early access, but right now the three things I cant deal with is the painful studding, the lack of any thought or design when generating enemies. and the obtuse level hud.. like don't just put a giant enemy warning sign on my screen in alien letters and expect me to figure wtf is going on.
connecting the dash to the hover board, is like game design 101 dumb... Not being able to stay airborne while attacking a flying enemy seems super counterinuitive..
Idk, way too many games out there that get this right for this game to handle so wrong.

Sounds like my experience with the game. I submitted a refund and will let other people beta test this one. Too much other stuff coming out very soon for me to sink more time into it. I will just check back later on it.

Early access is such a bad trend for most customers IMO.

Hades 2 was like the only one in recent memory that released with the full first run and felt like a complete game at launch. They knew what they were doing.

Releasing a game with only a few bosses just seems like a recipe for disaster and desperate. Taking advantage of early access people.

Gonna hurt their reputation.

after seeing your post, and knowing that I didn't want to refund because I wanted to support the company, I realize that that's not how business works, and if Indie devs starting getting the bright idea that they too, can push out unfinished , and unplayable games, even early access, they shouldn't be rewarded with a purchase.. I asked for a refund, and Ill come back when they've figured themselves out.
