Hyper Light Breaker

New cycle confusion
So I just had my first world recycle and I'm even more confused. I got the currency I apparently needed to upgrade for Medkits (yay), I have no idea how I got that ranking at all. In the "xp bar" fill up during the world reset I saw several currencies I'd gathered make an effect, but I didn't see what they were. an anyone help me out on what I should be prioritizing for this phase of gameplay?

Im not entirely sure what adds to the "rank" part, but i think its just for how much of the map your clear. The currency's you see at the start are the blood. and upgrade cores. Now for the other part im not sure about. I dont know if its how much you are holding when you cycle, or how much you gathered in that cycle. OR if it only counts what you are holding AND gathered that cycle. So you may not be able to stack it up from previous runs.

TLDR - Clear the map, Good xp at the end
ok, that clarifies quite a bit so thanks a lot for that!

How in the world do we get med kits? do they retain from run to run? i know that shrines fill them back up, but do we not get them automatically for a run?
For the med kit part: You automatically get one at the start of every attempted run, e.g. starting a new cycle and entering or entering after dying or entering after extracting. That is, you only get them after collecting enough of the green plants (and of course, first unlocking them in the skill tree) in the world. One refill costs 3 (not quite sure, can't check atm) plants. Or you can refill them at the shrines once per shrine for about 10 plants? Also not quite sure here, might even go up, depending on how often you already refilled them?
At the moment, you can only have up to 2 med kits unlocked as a max per the skill tree.

As for other methods of healing, there are some healing orbs that drop periodically after defeating enemies, the green plants also heal per 5 after picking them up and some skills heal red health lost when executing. Perfect blocking/parrying also sometimes heal, although I'm not 100% certain, how to procc that effect. Sometimes it heals, sometimes it does not. Maybe only one procc per attack string?
Picking up a prism, as well as starting the extract timer also heals you for some health (around 40 I think, seems as it is some kind of fixed value, but as far as I can tell, it's not related to your actual health)
