I have observed (what appear to be) the workings of "drag-n-drop" modding support in the game files! If "drag-n-drop" modding is implemented, I'd like to see a system for texture "variants"; in Minecraft, it's possible to "bundle" multiple textures for each character (or "mob").
But although I'm perfectly content with drag-n'-drop functionality, I bet users would enjoy Steam Workshop support, if possible. I'm unsure if it'd be worth the added development at this stage of the game though.
I plan on updating Fi da Booty as soon as it's convenient. The next update will include redone textures for uncovered enemies. If time permits, I'll look into genitalia and the other stripper costume. I'd also like to add some fun adjustments to Liza (the player character's) outfits.
To note, while poking around the game files today I saw a little something something interesting; an image for Steam Workshop. Steam Workshop support would be awesome, although I sincerely hope there's support for "updating" Workshop creations. I hate spamming Workshop pages with separate, "updated" versions of content.
I'm unsure how much freedom we'll get with Steam Workshop, but I don't anticipate seeing anything crazier than texture swaps. But hey, if we got model swaps that could open up the way for interesting armors.
For starters, I'd love an easier way to mod the game; it's better from everyone when mods are accessible. But something I'm really optimistic about is the ability to add multiple textures for one model, so they can be randomly selected as the model is spawned.
It'd be great to see a little more variety with enemies, but I think it'd work out really well with all of the in-game ads!
From what I've observed, full nudity and uncensored textures have been requested since release. I doubt ifthese requests were honored would anyone say "take it back it's too lewd!"
Something I do understand is that clothes are essential for differentiating enemies in an instant; for this reason, I think full nudity for enemies can be detrimental.
Fortunately, that problem is solved with skimpy(er) clothing. You get to keep your "lingerie, pasties, and other revealing clothes" but the nipples and genitalia have more breathing room.
Also, the enemies in this game wear armor pieces which often cover the naughty bits, which is perfect for a nude mod and gives the secret nudifier weapon a chance to really shine!
Looking forward to your next version release since the patch dropped today.
That's awesome! I'll have to see if I can push an update tonight, I've been working on some updates for my textures.
For example, last night I drafted a completely nude body to use a base for enemies. I plan on preserving distinguishing features for gameplay reasons, but a fully nude body is a nice framework for more. . . revealing enemies.
Apparently, it seems one of Liza's unlockable outfits now shares a texture with Bunny Troops; now "Barely Naked" offers full nudity, in addition to her "basic" outfit.
I'm planning on revising Liza's wardrobe, and working on some of the new animations that were added to the game. I'd also like to add some of my own touches, such as weapon and car graffiti and whatnot; but those updates are definitely a little lower priority.
As always, I appreciate any feedback on the mod!
In a nutshell, I'm replacing a ton of banners, posters, magazines and whatnot that were missed in previous updates. I'm also adding more overall nudity to baddies and drafting completely original artwork.
Fingers crossed for a release tonight!
In the past, animations were made using sprite sheets; for example, most DvD animations are actually a collection of "frames" that are looped together. These animations are pretty easy for me to work with, because I can work on them live.
However, recent animations are made with what I'd call "puppeteering" (for lack of a better word), where instead of frames individual body parts are animated. These animations are a lot harder for me to work with, because I have no way to recreate them. I just have to modify their components and hope they look good in-game.
To note, Liza's default outfit now only offers partial nudity; I made this change because I thought it looks kind of creepy to have her "skin" hanging on her clothes rack. Full nudity is available as the unlockable "Mostly Nude" outfit.
Feedback is appreciated!
