White and Green have masks that are straight up just common traditional Oni designs, the others obviously have their masks based around animals and a different style.
Red, Violet and Yellow are all based on Kabuki Theatre masks, white masks with singular solid coloured details.
Red's is very clearly styled on Japanese Kitsune (fox), Violet is based on Usagi (bunny), but I'm really not sure on Yellow.
I don't really know of any significance for Rams in Japanese myths or legends. That said, Yellow's birthday is April 10th which makes him an Aries - the associated animal being a Ram.
