This game crashes my entire PC

I just got the game, installed it, went through the whole dialogue sequence at the start and when the game is supposed to start the PC just straight up reboots.
My PC never did that in any other scenario. I don't have dodgy software installed (illicitly I mean - mentioning this because I know cracks and the like can cause issues etc), didn't do any major update or installed new hardware recently. Basically a "clean" PC.
It crashes every time the game is supposed to start.
I also tried lowering the video settings before starting the game and it still crashes.

Could it be somehow related to the ultra wide resolution? I'm on 5120x1440 (g9). Before one of the crashes the game got to a part where I could actually move around but only for like 2 seconds then it crashed.

It's usually just reboots, only one of the time I had a blue screen with the error code "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"

@Devs if you're around and want to help me troubleshoot this let me know where I can contact you via e-mail or through a support channel so I can provide some logs maybe.
I have a memory dump from the last crash in c:\windows\minidump, maybe that's useful somehow?

i7 6700k
16gb ram
980ti
nvme ssd

UPDATE:
Verifying the game files re-downloaded 0 files so that seems okay.

I also lowered the resolution to regular 16:9 1440p and I managed to get through the first level.

Could have been the resolution. Will update this thread if anything changes, maybe it helps others if they encounter the same issue...

Still would've loved to play this in ultrawide with a super high FOV.

I had the same problem. Crashes always until i change the resolution to 1080p

Thought about buying this, but owning a 3440x1440 monitor, I am now sceptical of buying it.
Is this still an issue?

Lowering the graphics settings and resolution allowed me to play it.

My GPU also died on me soon after so that might have had something to do with it. No issues since getting 3070.
You can always refund it if it crashes for you too, but it should be fine. I think it was just my old GPU that was causing the issues.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Might buy it further down the road, but if I buy from an official key reseller (right now they are cheap on black friday) I get into refund troubles, that is why I asked.
