Dialogues are too long and not that interesting imo, I wanted to skip them.
I will buy it day one anyways just for the gameplay, great job devs
There's really only one thing that bugged me that I can give feedback on.
The jump feels like it's the same height every time, and it's a pretty big jump to begin with. Being able to do smaller jumps would be a big help to make the game feel like it flows better, maybe by just tapping space, and then having the jump be higher depending on how long you hold down space?
Really loved the balance of difficulty, never took too long nor was it frustrating to get Gold/Ace medals.
The only nitpick, what an other user pointed out aswell that some of the dialouge is quite internet-y. But this is minor, in my case, it didnt make me skip dialouge as the VOs are stellar and the characters (and overall how they look like are and their artstlye is really up my alley) are interesting.
Will be a must buy for me, as soon as it comes out, and wish you the best of luck for the rest of the development!
The matter of the quality of the story, without disrespecting your efforts on it, I feel aren't as relevant an issue as the lack of option to skip through it instantly.
Please take into consideration that this is a speedrun game. Frequent downtime will only detract from it. It takes way too long to skip through the cutscenes and rank up screens. When I open a game like this, which is centered around speed, I want a fast and easy option to just cut to the chase. Maybe have an optional "speedrun mode" you can enable which just lets you go level to level with minimal downtime.
That aside, I have nothing of note to add, it's just awesome!
I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this game. Got it wishlisted and I look forward to play the full version when it's out!
Edit: On second thought, I also suggest adding a very fast countdown from 3 in the beginning of each round. Something like Cyber Hook's. It sometimes feels like you're being robbed of a few miliseconds from the moment you start the run.
Oh and please pay no mind to the person who said the writing was bad or whatever. The voice actors have all done an amazing job and the dialogue has been very charming and fun so far.
Now all we need is a release date.
I think adding some kind of change to the cross-hair based on the currently equipped card would help alleviate the color blind issue. Maybe an icon near the cross-hair that represents the weapon or skill, the image is already present on the card but it would alleviate the issue for people who cannot discern card colors and stop them from having to look at the card itself to get a clear image of what weapon is equipped.
Maybe even just putting the name somewhat faintly under the cross-hair?
So like:
............+
....GODSPEED
(but without all my periods used to center it, because I can't get it to center.)
