Also, if your child is being banned, he can just send in a ban appeal in the official website, they usually get it all sorted out.
Might do that, but this is like the 4th time. At some point we will just move on. I think people need to be made aware that this game is disingenuous and is banning people for no reason.
We will not spend any more money on this game, that's a fact. It's like our ability to use a product we paid for is being denied to us. I will also put in an appeal to Steam and see if they are willing to refund the product because we aren't being allowed to use it.
All I know is that these bans are seriously getting on my nerves as a parent.
Also, if you use family sharing, it will auto-ban the account (its a really dumb way to stop cheaters from ban evading)
It appears like the ban was from the family sharing like you said. Still annoying, but at least I feel slightly better about the situation.
It was a total mistake. Nothing more. Still every other VR game doesnt have the issue. My son happily played other games without issue in the mean time.
A better solution would be for the dev ti disable family sharing so it tells us we dont own the game on the specific account.
The other bans we had were all bogus too and some last like 2 weeks. Was absolutely crazy. Honestly, I dont care about this game myself, so I will encourage him to play other games instead.
Im still not allowing him to ever spend money on this game again. If you treat your customers poorly, we move on. Simple as that.
He is getting a big steam giftcard for christmas from the grand parents. Im not letting him spend a cent on this game. Not a single cent more.
yep exactly what tuna said!
World Scale is a setting that gives you long arms in the game.
But if your kid doesn't have long arms.
He's probably modding.
1: Family-sharing
2: Underage
3: Modding
4: Some random hacker just set up an auto-ban bot on your sons account i dont even know if those exist
Eliminate and add reasons with evidence to find our answer
plus your kid is 100% cheating, theres other ways people can cheat in a game other than downloading something
