Why are there so many kids in this game
Like seriously who is buying a $1000 VR headset for their kids and letting them play this.

In the jungle map, you will find a menu thing with a list of people in the server you will see in the centre of the map you can press the mute button next to the player nickname to mute. You will find this menu next to the entrances of the cave and desert maps.

Nothing wrong with kids playing video games. It's just annoying to be an adult and launch a multiplayer game mostly to hear really young kids screaming and being generally obnoxious.
