Which vr headset to buy?

Help i want to play the game but dont know which vr to buy, i have looked around and it seems the most affordable for me is the quest 2 but i dont want to sell my soul to Zucc

Standalone ? Quest 2. HTC's new headset might be good, but price will be higher, wait until may 11.
PC only, HP Reverb G2 or Valve Index.

Have a look at a Windows Mixed Reality headsets second hand. I got one for £150 brand new. The only downside is that it requires Windows 10

The quest 2 is your best bet if you want either budget or wireless vr. Personally, I use the quest 1 and it works great. You could simply buy all your games on steam and create a fake facebook account. If it gets banned, you can just make another, your quest will NOT be bricked.

Valve Index is the best thing ever. If you don't want to spend an entire paycheck on one piece of gaming peripheral, I would ***want*** to recommend the Quest 3, but that's owned by facebook, and they will delete your whole library of games if you don't want to make your own facebook account with your real name. Look for Windows Mixed Reality headsets. They range from cheap to expensive. You get what you pay for in VR, unless it's an expensive price on a no-name product.

Facebook can't take anything from you if you only buy your games from steam (which isn't a big deal since every other headset would require you to do so anyway). Airlink is 100% free too. If they ban your facebook account, you can continue to make new ones without punishment.

quest 2 for fantastic value. facebook is god awful but honestly it cant be worse than google - which, be honest, isn't ruining your life.

index for best headset. but its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ expensive and will take a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long time to arrive and may not even be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ available for your country

preowned vive for decent cost decent vr, where you can upgrade to some 2030 valve headset and knuckles later on, and don't have to sell soul to zucc. also upgrade potential to fix god awful literally hell ♥♥♥♥♥♥ titty god ray diseased lenses (gearvr 2017+ lenses), ♥♥♥♥♥♥ heavy tangly wire (wireless), various weird mods (because the vive was the most popular headset way back when, and so has cooling and comfort and probably other mods)

Pre-owned vives have a big risk of arriving with dead lighthouses cause they're so damn fragile so keep that in mind
