Family Sharing says "can't validate account"

I purchased the game on my computer then purchased a computer for my son. We use family sharing to play the game on his computer connected to my account (only one can play at a time). He sees a red screen saying he's banned because the account couldn't be verified. I'm not sure of the technical details, but perhaps there's a linked account you could verify for authenticating an account? This seems like a legitimate bug since Steam supports Family Sharing.

Doing that exact method on how you explained how you bought it for your son is how cheaters buy new accounts to get off of being banned. It has to be on your system.

it has to do with pc validation to stop hackers

here's a scenario
if you are a hacker and use antoher account with family sharing it would mean thay there is no repercussions and you go Scot free.
the game costs money because hackers ruined it that meant the only way around a ban is to pay 20 dollars on an alt account the money goes towards things like hack detection. sorry to say but you gotta do a ban appeal and dont join the game through that time then re buy the game on your sons account if you have a quest 2 then just buy the game on there its free on quest 2 because you cant really hack on there. i hope this answers it for you

also if the computer isint good enough to play pcvr games then you really shouldnt be playing vr on there specs are like how strong your pc is. and the games are like weights game to heavy you cant lift it you need stronger pc. check reccomended specs
