I have this issue and it fixed on the new update but its back to same old right eye black again.

reboot your oculus it doesnt delete apps or data i did have the same problem ever since i rebooted my oculus i never had any other problem with game play or my eye being black

That does not fix it for me.

Its a windows VR setting. Change it to default and itll solve the issue. Happened to me on my HP Reverb G2.
