How do you kill the bats ?

You can shoot them with a ton of regular arrows, but there should be a better way I feel like

So you just press F for few seconds and it should kill them? Because for me it kills only few of them (around one or two) and my magic is gone, so I must wait for replenish, but there in cave is a lot of them and eventually they kill me.

You can shoot into them. I just gave the easiest way IMO. Your issue is you don’t seem to have any mana upgrades. Each time you lose mana, you’ll kill 1 bat

you don't have to kill the whole swarm. "freeze" them with hocus, then shoot some arrows in them.

I think I had them bugged, because my hocus was inefficient in killing them and their numbers replenished (at least that it looked to me). Now I killed both swarms behind waterfall and with ease. Btw I had all mana upgrades except one on the left.

you need to hit them too often with only hocus. i think i hit them twice and needed 4 arrows or so to kill a swarm.

You don’t actually need to use hocus at all despite the game telling you to
When you shoot at them with an arrow, they will either dodge left or right. If you flick your aim in that direction at the same time you will hit them with the arrow.
You need to hit each swarm several times before it fully dissipates, it will start as a full swarm and grow smaller and smaller until it’s gone
The good hocus is next to useless against them, but the evil hocus should lock onto them for you

I tried to hit them with Good morality hocus, but it never worked. It did manage to deflect the sonar though, but never back at it; just off wherever direction it felt like. Bad morality hocus seems to have a longer range and auto-target, so maybe it would work better.

In most of the cases I can observe 3 arrows per swarm, but it gets harder to hit as the swarm shrinks.

I use the Broom to help me out. I rush in, plant the Broom, then retreat and start firing/casting from a distance(behind something when possible), while looking out for their sonic attacks. When you unlock the Spring Cleaning skill you can also shoot the broom to slow anything in its radius.
