Rather ask, why would you play a ported (released first on consoles) game on a pc if the gameplay and controls are optimized for consoles?
Games which are developed and optimized for consoles first and then later ported or adapted to play on pc are typically not very good (optimized) for gameplay on pc.
My question is whether this game is one of those ported-to-pc games.
If a game is ported and optimized for consoles then it makes sense to use a controller on pc because it doesn't work so well with keyboard + mouse.
Do you understand?
Thank-you!
I understand just fine....and the question still stands. Why would anyone play a game on PC where you have to SHOOT AND AIM (regardless of it was made for PC or console first) with a controller? IF we were talking about NON FPS games then that is a different story (dark souls for example).
Do you understand?
Of course I understand, hence why I asked to begin with.
If a game is optimized for consoles moreso than pc then it makes perfect sense to use a controller because that's what the devs made it for. Many ported to pc games still have console controller leftover code which is not optimized for pc (k+m) such as holding keys or tapping keys for some effect, or using bumpers or X,Y,A,B buttons.
That is why somebody would use a controller on a pc with keyboard + mouse - because the game was designed for consoles and "optimized" for pc as an afterthought/cash-grab.
Platapoop answered my query in any event.
off to buy.
