NEED HELP

I try to download the game using windows 7 but the CD version.. My dad recently bought it and i cant find a way to download it for him. I open up the cd files and run the a.exe and try to run it. It goes to download screen and I have it download on the C drive. When installation is under way it stops at 21% window says removing applications. That as far as it gets. PLEASE HELP!

It is suppose to do that as part of installing. It takes awhile to install. Allow it to keep running for maybe a hour a more. I don't know if its the comperssion rate, all the wav fiels or what. It's a lot easier to buy the steam version. I have the old copy basic one CD game, that I first installed and still have as a seperate game, before I bought the steam version. I have a pretty beefy computer compared to this game, and it took forever.....like a hour and a half.
