windows 11 il-2 1946 not running

I chocked it up as a loss. Got it almost a year ago and never been able to get it to load no matter what I tried. Guess they got some free money.

Mine didn't worked aswell but I moved steam folder from program files x86 to C drive and runned the exe file as administrator, boot it up from the exe file.

I have a working copy on windows 11. I might be able to help... whats the issue exactly? You run the EXE and nothing happens?

I have the same issue. Win 11 Home Ed on new Asus Vivobook 16. Installed IL2 Sturmovik Ultimate Edition and it ran fine for two months. One day just would not start. uninstalled/Reinstalled but no luck. Win 11 updates maybe?

Based on all the discussions I could find on the internet, I uninstalled and reinstalled on c:\ root. I did the DEP exceptions and rebooted. I ran the exe file directly as Admin. Nothing works.
Event viewer shows this:
Faulting application name: il2fb.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x44fd7bbb
Faulting module name: jvm.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x3af53001

So it appears to be jvm.dll that is failing. I have the GOG version and the GOG team should have fixed this by now.

I got it to work. After installing the game on D drive, move install files to C drive. Then fix resolution so it is like your monitor (1920x1080) and it worked for me (I also had to fix some other things in graphic settings for old pc's)
