Search for Vpmodpack for example it's the simplest one to install. Download the zip and extract it to the game folder - run the "il-2 selector.exe" and select the mod and you are done!

Other mod packs use jsgme to be enabled. I wrote for HSFX and CUP an installation guide.

BAT is pretty good if you like planes from WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and modern conflicts etc. It takes a while to install but its pretty simple. You will have to make the game 4.12.2 again by right clicking on the game in your steam library go to properties, then betas, and select 4.12.2. then copy paste its root file to your desktop, (or anywhere, as long as its not in your program files) then just follow this tutorial:
This is how i did it. it took me a week because i messed up twice and my computer is slow af and took forever to downlaod the different modules, It worth it though.

I've successfully installed and video works but I have no sounds at all. What to do?

little bit of a tip: if you're downloading the BAT files off mediafire, use an antivirus because some of the websites mediafire redirects you to (for advertising) are dangerous
