Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas.X - Throttle not recognised
I've been playing IL-2 (v4.12.2m) for the past year without issues, but the game no longer recognises my Hotas X's throttle in the game's Input Options Screen. All the other joystick controls (including buttons on the throttle) continue to work, just not the throttle controls itself.

I have:
- Tested the throttle in Windows 10 64Bit Game Controller Control Panel;
- Tested the throttle in other games (eg FSX, Automobilista) and it works without issues;
- Installed the latest Thrustmaster 2016 unified drivers
- Unplugged and replugged in the joystick into multiple different USB ports
- Tested both of the Joystick's PC and PS4 modes

I'm now at a loss and seeking some assistance.

Cheers

Hi Shawn,

Thanks for the PM. The Hotas X throttle now works in IL-2.

Cheers

@Beef36

Just got a T.Flight Hotas.X and have the same problem. Mind sharing the solution?

Hello Vice,

The issue for me was the unintuitive control setup screen within the game. Within the control setup screen, if I tried to setup the Z-Axis from "Aircraft Controls" keyboard options, it did not work for me.

However if you scroll to the bottom of that same control setup screen, you will see "Hotas Control". From here you can set the Power to the Hotas X's Z-Axis (i.e its throttle).

Good luck and I hope this solves your issue.

Cheers

Hello Beef36,

that did the trick. I just had a quick flight and everything works now as it should. Thank you so very much for your help, cheers!

I also own the Thrustmaster Tflight HOTAS flightstick and throttle setup. Is the throttle still a problem today?

No. It's a hassle to set everything up but it's possible :) - for me, Beef36's advice did the trick. The game is really old, any problems and headaches aren't the HOTAS fault. It's a great setup, enjoy!
