Help with downloading The Jet Age

Hello anyone reading this, I bought this game a couple weeks ago because i was curious on what the price for the IL-2 games were, and I saw that 1946 was around $2 USD, in which ironically, my steam wallet had $3.86 laying around, so I bought the game. anyway, going to where we are now, I need help downloading The Jet Age mod because in all honestly, I absolutely love this game and would love to fly jets in the style of this game. I've tried all of last weekend trying to download the mod, but I am an absolute baboon and can't figure it out. If you would like to help, you can help me on DIscord. My name is VitaminPen#0104. It has been many years since I tried to install a mod pack for 1946. I remember it involved JGSME and I was unsuccessful. This one looks nice and straightforward.

Progress so far: fresh install (from DVD). I've patched up my vanilla install with the megapatch and the SAS mod activator. I've extracted all of the Dawn of Flight downloads and I'm now working through the World At War downloads.

This is painful. It would be very easy to miss a download or forget to choose 'overwrite' when transferring over to the game folder. I'm really hoping this won't be time wasted.

After 4+ hours of downloading and installing -- following the instructions top to bottom -- I can see the F-86 etc. in the object viewer but I can't launch a Quick Mission. The GUI locks up and a message comes up to the effect of "6DOF/TIR for the mod isn't responding."

Amazing news, I figured it out. I realized that i had to download the v4.1 onto my base BAT game to play the jets and stuff. Thanks for the link. I would like to thank you a lot, and when you see this I hope you have a great rest of your day.

I've got BAT up and running. The WAW mod is very impressive. I would have been super jazzed about it 15 years ago.
