Which is better for Il 2 1946, what are the characteristics, and what are the qualities of the different packs?

better graphics
Size of dowload is ok

BAT:
More content (planes, functions,...)
Different time periods (WW1, Ages between wars, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Modern Warfare)
Size of download is huhe (+80GBs)

Additional mods can be added in the JSGME

I downloaded the patch of the SAS site, extracted it, and then downloaded and extracted the VP modpack, and then when I went into IL 2 1946, it was all messed up, I couldn't fly quick missions even though I had changed the folder name to what it asks you to change it to. And then when I went to click fly, the button had disappeared.
Please Help!

So first at all, what version you were running at the beginning?

The default il2 1946 version of steam is 4.13.4

What folder did you changed? Im not aware that you need to change a foldername.

Well as i asked at first i need to know what gameversion you were running at the beginning?

The steamversion of IL2 1946 is 4.13.4.
For VP-Modpack you need 4.12.2.

The Megapatchupdater will only patch your game up to 4.12.2 if youre below that version (youre probaply above -->4.13.4).

So heres the first mistake. I hope you did a clean backup as the guy in the video told you to do.

First step for you is to unpatch your game to version 4.12.2 by using the Beta tap menu in steam OR using the Unpatcher 4.13.X (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=55464.0)

If youre at version 4.14 and higher you need to reinstall the game.

I prefer VP as it's smaller in size and has more campaigns that I actually use whereas BAT is massive and I only ever used the WWII content. Have also found that the missions and whatnot I've downloaded over the years from mission4today work a lot better and don't glitch unlike BAT.
