IL2 1946 not launching Windows10

I have windows 10 and when I tried to launch after I downloaded it, it never launches, it says running and then syncing and nothing happens. If someone knows how to fix this, I will rebuy it. I would love to play that game!!!

Well, i have this game and played just in windows 10. In my case, the game launches, but doesn't have sound and the in-game menu dont apper pressing escape. I do not know, but the game worked a few months ago.

Just downloaded. Could get in and turn music off. Change graphics to 3440x1440 option. Will then open with 2550?x1440 twice with no mouse. Now I am same as above.

What do you mean? did it fix?

I click it to play, it says running for a few seconds, then 'running' disappears. Also the graphics give me the option for 3440 x 1440, but gave me 2550 (cant remember what it said) x 1440. I got in twice, no mouse twice. Then, only running shows for a few seconds.

Personally before I reformatted my PC I had to disable DEP all together to get it to work, now it works without touching DEP settings. I highly would not recommended disabling it all together. See if adding an exception fixes the problem for you, it didn't for me though.

Yep. Mine is stuck in a 16:9 aspect despite setting it to 3440 x 1440, with no mouse.

Guys as an advice: Dont use or Start the game via Steam. I only used steam for downloading and the first thing i did was copying the gamefolder in the steamfolder and pasted it somewhere else. DO a backup (Copy&Past) of a clean downloaded Version!

Creat a shortcut of the il2.exe and put it on your desctop.

You can change the resolution in the confi.ini file in the gamefolder, but remember... this is an old game.

I set it 1920×1080 in the confi.ini and it was working instantly
