Good mods for singleplayer

Hello, do you know any good singleplayers mods for this game.

Ah and do you have any good joystick to recommend me?

I'm a bit of a cheap guy, so the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro has done me well enough over the years.

B.A.T Is a very hefty install and takes a while, but it is so worth the trouble. Otherwise, HSFX is also a nice modpack.

thanks for responding, what the differences between those 2 mods? what do they add to the vanilla game?

in my opinion the best single player mods are just these two through my time messing with modpacks. (HSFX is great too, but it's too small for me to recommend it as a single player only mod. as it's more geared for online if i am not mistaken)

B.A.T. https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?board=264.0 it's about 100+ gbs by now i imagine, it has 4 era's ww1,spanish civil war,ww2, and jets. it takes the best plane mods and maps they can find to make a massive compilation. if you like biplanes, ww2 props, and jets and have a lot of space on the HDD, this is worth the space and time for sure. this is the biggest modpack for il-2 it covers everything.

VP's modpack. https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,50919.0.html if you want just straight ww2 stuff then this is what i myself recommend, due to it's size and such. it adds alot less stuff then B.A.T. though. but in my opinion this is the best pack that is only ww2 era.

take a look into them as neither are small, bbut if you enjoy the game, i suggest you try out the three of them and find out what one you prefer.

dcg can be cool, vanila pearl harbor attack, if you go as divebomber its like 3 of you and like 6 fighters, but with dcg its 100s of planes attacking at once, but idk its really repetitive, i started on wake island as a fighter, it was escorting 11 bettys, and 30 missions later it was still the same thing :/

I've only installed the VP mod. Very easy to do. It adds tons of planes and replaces just about every sound and model in the game.

My joystick is a Thrustmaster T flight hotas 4. Got it around 40 dollars on sale. Total investment for stick and game was still less than a new AAA game and worth it already with how much I'm enjoying it.

Thanks you all for responding, but i have an another question concerning the B.A.T mods. I have read in differents topic that it is "a mission maker tool kit", is that true, to enjoy the mods do i have to use the editor? cause i'm not good at all with editor.

no you can do campaigns, single missions and the quick mission builder just like you would normally.

Just be aware that using the 'mods' you may loose a lot of the functionality incepted into the TD patches as well as the additional planes and new maps (not many, but they follow the standards) and FMB mission features. I've heard that installing and using the 'switcher' (used to revert to 'stock') is a bit more complex than making sure the patches are in the correct directory.

My ST290 Pro has served me well over the past ten years.

I have heard good things about the C.U.P. mod, but i haven't tried it myself yet.

BAT mod and its 7 or so modules is ALL anyone needs it covers everything from WW1 to present for single player including tons of campaigns (scripted and Dynamic). VP and CUP are outdated. BAT is the way to go.
