does anyone knows what the SAS il-2 mega patch do?

i can't find a good description of it anywhere,it just says that it will up your game version to version 4.12.2, but if steam updates the game aoutomaticly, does it mean i already have it?

can anyone clarify it for me?

If you search SAS you will find the mega patch that will update your original game into a new set awe. From there if you read how to do it using the manual, you can change your game into something unbelieveable. You will end up with thousands of planes to fly. You can download Campaigns that will keep you flying till you are chair bound.
I'm seventy four and have flown everything possible.
I also still go paragliding , which I have been doing for nearly twenty years.

if you got il-2 1946 from steam, you will not need to download it as the steam version comes with 4.12.2

i just downloaded,i don't think the steam version has it, because it added some new missions to the game. I am new to this game, so i am still learning to install mods and especially pilot, wich is really hard in the beggining.

also do you guys know how to get into the online part of the game?a guy says everyone is in the "hyperlink" but i don't know what that means, hyperlink is a program but i need to place it in between my window's programs to make it work, i don't think thats a good idea.

there is no real explanation of what it is there, i also installed version 1.14.2, it is installed, and i didn't see any new planes or anything. Am i supposed to install the patch and then the bat files?and then the expansion files?

i read the page and i am not sure what to do, my man, i don't know what you are reading that you can figure out what is what there.

You are obviously not reading it correctly. All is explained there. Have you got the steam version?
If so, copy and paste the copy into another folder. Then download the BAT Insaller and all 29 files. Put all the files including the installer into one file on your desktop and run the installer.
There are then 4 more files to download and install.
All this info is plainly there for you to read. Take your time and do it step by step.

there is a manual, but its 400 mb, what kind of .txt file would be that large?what is it a million pages? i din't wanted to download it because it seemed ridiculous, but i have it now, and the instructions are there(not on the page), so i know what i am doing now, but thanks i guess.
