A bit old but still pretty accurate.
Still only mentions about as much info as is mentioned on the SAS 1946 forums—not much. Though, it does mention that Ultra Pack and Dark Blue World have been merged into CUP (which is now BAT), so at least there was a little bit of useful info. Would still like to know the main features of the mods.
not really ment to be customized with as far as i know, so it may be a pain to remove effects mods or others.
VPmodpack is my favourite for it's size and quality and effects, it takes the best content from DBW and various other mods. it's easy to customize aswell just add/ delete anything you dont like from the #SAS folder (everything thats important about vp is on it's page)
it's got alot less content though
So, is VP Modpack for a more vanilla experience with better graphics and effects?
As in you can play the stock campaigns and missions without there being significant gameplay changes; as opposed to something like the BAT mod which adds new time periods, missions, planes, and gameplay tweaks.
Ahh okay, thanks for that info. I guess all the mods add their own assortment of assets and modding abilities it seems, and they each have their own set of campaigns, missions, and planes. I think I'll stick with VP mod for the moment since it is small and adds better detailed models and effects, and is an improvement on HSFX. I don't really need all the extra stuff that BAT has, at the moment, since I am just getting into the game.
