Game Settings not Saving / Getting Reset
Hi, most of my settings get reset after i restart the game.

including grpahics settings like vsync, standard vs dynamic range, scroll speed and such ... they reset after i restart the game.

even without restarting, if i set my max framerate to 140, accept the changes, now i am in the game itself, then opening the settings again the max framerate is 141 (1 pont above what i set). if i put it down to 140, accept, then go settings again its also 141.

i already tried removing all write protection in the games folder but it doesn't seem to stick.

that's with the normal / stable build as well as the beta build.

having win11 with intel i7 13700kf, nvidia rtx 4070 ti, samsung ssd 980 pro (NVME), 32 gb ram DDR5.

Every time you update the game or verify integrity of the files of the game it will change your settings file with the default file thus overwrite your game settings.

Make sure this is not the case for your issue in some way.

erm no ... it is like i said. just exiting and starting the game again and settings are reset. nothing done in between by me.

of course i am not deleting the setti gs or save file either or re installing the fame, i wouldnt asked for help otherwise.

i also dont have an invasive antivirus, i use windows defender.

Hey thanks for the report! Your post is quite similar to one we have on the Matrix forums, so I take it you're the same poster. We've responded to you there with requests for additional information to help us investigate this issue.

Had the same issue and verifying the game files solved it. It was a fresh installation (bought the game this morning) but 47 files had to be redownloaded

yesterday when i came home i verified the game again and suddenly 3 files needed to be repaired / re-downloaded. afterwards the game was suddenly saving its settings.

but believe me, the whole week i was at least 10 times verifying the game and completely re-installing it once too, even deleting the steam folder.

and like i said, even within the game, when i changed my max fps to 140 then it changed it to 141 after i saved the setting and went back into it (without leaving the loaded game).

yesterday i saw it too that they moved the sound (music) volume by 1 point. small glitch but weird.
