Prepare and Attack vs. Attack (Return Of The Shakturi)

Is there any difference between these two commands in the new version (Return Of The Shakturi) - Prepare and Attack vs. Attack?

Previously, there was supposed to be a difference, but people reported issues that it wasn't working as intended, so they usually just used Attack.

Prepare will stop for fuel first if needed, and perhaps rally at a waypoint along the way or near the target. If the fleet is ready to simply attack the target, there is no difference.
