edit; wishlist item. Can we get an 'extremely slow' research option? I want a game to have fully expanded empires bumping up against each other but at best with mid tech unlocked. This give the end game so much more relevance if you are waging mid tech wars and it gives a real arms race feel to it.
reedit; also I think this would jive much better with a very late shakturi emergence since nearly all the empires would be fully expanded with large fleets and plentiful infrastructure.
One feature which should be simple to implement would really like is:
The ability to join 2 fleets together as 1 fleet.
And the ability to split 1 fleet into 2 equal size fleets.
Because sometimes I end up with ragtag fleets I would really like to join together. And sometimes I end up with a large fleet, where I really need 2 smaller fleets.
For extra bous:
An "Fill up this fleet with ships currently not in a fleet. But do NOT build new ships. I would use this so I could build ships in a few systems close together, and fleets which need more ships can then just move to these systems, and then pickup more ships, without having to wait for new ships to be build.
Especially because there is no way to control where the ships for new fleets gets build so often they start so far away that they newer reach the fleet before they run out of fuel.
Not sure it was for me ;)
Even having the 'Mouse Click-Drag Function' setting work as below would be enough at this point (new functionality in bold):
Or even a middle-mouse drag, if differentiating between a left-click and a left-drag is too complicated.
Great work as always, thank you.
At least, they do refuel when idle... up to the point where they'd rather go refuel with two ships at 40% (rest at 80%) than defend the designated system; then again, one would die of old age before logistics deign to transfer enough fuel to newly-acquired planet, so can't really blame them.
The new one is much better, knowing how much it will cost is really useful.
I would like it to tell me even more:
It didn't warn me that it would kick out other ships (trim was enabled but I forgot about it), some red text to remind people about this will help.
Another thing was that since I don't use escorts for Zenox there was nothing in the tooltip list until I made a design. Button was active but nothing showed up in the list other than the heading "Top up 2nd Fleet". Telling me why there is nothing in the list (no design, I assume) would be great.
Known issue, we're investigating.
