Spoilers inside (end game content)

Atliest id say its end game? it can happen quite early, you set loose the hive ships in the galaxy. They float around menacing, they dont seemingly do much.

They float in the area, harrassing ships and mining stations.... and then fly off to the next place to refuel, and come back sometimes.

Where is the giant Shakturi fleets at the end of the game at? The hive ships are defeated with mid game content research, and they dont seemingly even destroy worlds, they just kill a few pathetic ships/ mining stations then float off to refuel...

Supposedly the Shakturi spawn in on a planet somewhere, I found a planet with the name Shakturea or something like that with bugs on it, 14 billion of them, and they didnt do anything for over an hour... No ships, no nothing, just sat there on the planet. I had to invade it with a massive amount of troops to win (just like in DWU). But seriously thats it?

Where is the end game content?

Game as it currently stands

"Some assembly maybe required" TDLR of that means more content will be added, we all know this game is far from complete or feature complete. Give the devs a bit of a break though seeing as they're a small team, this isn't some large development company that has hundreds of employees.

well i have to deal with a hive carrier in early game and it is wiping the entire system so much about not doing much.

I also had the hive ships just kind of milling about not doing anything, I think they're still out there somewhere. I didn't do anything about them and despite what the pop up says about everyone banding together to fight them nobody else seemed to care much about them either. Also that is disappointing to hear about the Shakturi. I'm about 150 years into my game and at this point nobody is a threat to me. It seems tedious to go around capping planets when the NPCs seem incapable of waging any kind of effective war. I was going to try a new game on a small galaxy with few planets to see if that made things a bit tighter and more interesting but I was waiting to see the Shakturi show up in this one to have that big end game crisis war that was so good in DW:U.

If you go to the in game editor there is an option to adjust raid time? Perhaps you could force them to start their raiding earlier with this?

The thing that always kept me around in DW:U was the end game shakturi crisis. Apparently its just not implemented yet. I hope to god this was just like someone forgot a story event or something, and they arent going to do a DLC of Return of the shakturi, where im gonna have to pay for end game shakturi crisis.

The two major crises in DW2 are the Hive and the Planet Destoyer. Both of these have more than one way they could appear and unfold, depending on how you and the other factions play out the game. Both of these are new crises that did not exist in DW1/DWU.

We are looking into some bugs in certain games where the Hive is showing up too early or where some event messages are being repeated too often. If you have a save file showing issues with these crisis events, please do share them with us per the instructions in the Tech Support sub-forum.

The Shakturi were not in DW1 and are not in DW2, though there's a lot about them in the main and faction stories. The Return of the Shakturi crisis in DW: Universe (which included DW1 and all expansions) came from the Return of the Shakturi Expansion for DW1 and was a lot of additional work. It was not in the initial DW1 release. The Shakturi may return in DW2 in the future.

Pretty sure Hive ships are generation ships of one of the races that got craszed by the shakturi :)

sucks i kinda want that refund if I cant really have something as gratifying as the Shakturi or something similar I mean even stellaris has stuff that happens in that game that compares to the shakturi though to be fair this is still better even tho bugged
