Docking Bay in Practice
Hello, there is a component called Docking Bay v1 and Docking Bay v2. I noticed that, by default, the Space Station does not use this technology. So, as I play peacefully and currently have no threats, I installed this component at the cost of missile launchers.

I have a question: where can I check in Ship Design—when I open this project—the stats of what this component provides? I’m referring to the right-hand panel where, for example, it shows how much energy is available, the damage dealt by a specific weapon, etc.

Does anyone here use this Docking Bay in practice?

I dont think docking bays are doing anything right now, so i avoid them. They should speed up the loading and unloading of cargo at stations but right now it kinda instantenous. Also when you refuel your fleet at one of the caslon mining bases, they take the fuel without even docking, if you have fuel transfer systems.

Ships do that either way, actually. Some ships would still prefer to dock - guess, the goal here is deliberate waste of player's time.

Sometimes, ships also do that with cargo, but, sadly, it's rare; more often than not ships prefer to wait forever in docking queues. Fun fact: spaceport on any planet bottlenecks resource transfer speed significantly due to those docking times (even now that resource transfer became instantaneous).
