Ha! Don't get me started on chatGPT. Such a useless tool. I just made the names myself. Also, I think you misunderstand: as I said in my post, you can easily edit system names, that isn't the issue. The issue is planet names, which will be 50% the same as system names, and 50% not (due to moons). Therefore, no matter what you do with system names afaik, you will get muddy moon names.
No, there aren't sadly, I checked.
There is not a mod to specifically change only planet names but there is a mod that changes system names and most systems name their planets after the system. This leaves a few planets with odd names which is better than all planets.

Like I said to Ax4711, I have already created my own version of that mod which I use.
Currently, a sizeable proportion of planets are still given nonsense names, regardless of what you do to systemnames.txt.
Besides, a much cooler system would be to have seperate namelists for systems AND planets/moons, especially one that can differentiate planet IDs so you can have contextual names for different classes of planets.
In essence, devs shouldn't underestimate the powerful effect a good name can have on player immersion and story generation. So, a more robust system for naming astronomical bodies would be a small, easy addition with a surprisingly far-reaching effect.
That's a good point. I try to keep any suggestions or feedback I make limited to smale-scale things that are easy to fix (I've been beating the smaller galaxy drum for a while) with that in mind, because I don't wanna ask them to change core game mechanics to suit my fancies :P
But, conversely, that also makes them less important suggestions.
Shameless I know but this thread game me the final push to do it
Excellent work!
