Thanks. I've seen that one. It's a strange weapon for sure.
Missiles, torpedoes, and most area weapons belong to the Seeking weapon type. Any weapons with PD capability can/will shoot those and fighters.
Yes, makes more sense, and it what I've seen in the game. I haven't ever seen the AI go after railgun shells. TY. The Blocking Field Generator is an oddball.
You clearly see this if you look at the stats of these modules.
Many weapons beside PD can also shoot at seeking weapons and fighters, but they only target them if there is no ship or base in range to target, so reverse from what intercepting weapon targets.
All these weapons are practically the same, they just have different traits. You generally have a few fire types of weapons which are... direct fire, beam and seeking. You then have behaviour type of weapons such as for example close-in, stand off, intercept, etc...
The Blocking Field for example is a Full Length Beam and Intercept weapon that can target any fire type weapon and fighters.
Better mark this as the answer or else only the Blocking and Point Field can stop direct fire and beam weapons. :D
