There's no memory leak :)

what cpu do you have ? i don't have this issue on a ryzen 9 5900x
NoDMoD Apr 11, 2023 @ 12:45pm
Might be background programs running... or even a virus.

Or the hard drive is giving out.

if the cpu is at 100% it's not the HDD/SSD

12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900H.

So the idea of my hard drive is dying or background process or a virus.. which virus's like those havent been a thing in decades is most likely not actually happening. Absolutely something up with the game cause my CPU model is just over a year old.

That sounds weird, got a 9900k and never get to that. The game is certainly CPU bound, but it never uses 100% of the CPU, barely 60% of a thread if that. I think you probably have bloatware in the background that messes you up.

But doing remote diagnostics on little data is nigh impossible mate. 99% sure its not the game though.

oh you have a mobile version of your cpu, intel ones tend to throttle pretty badly on mobile versions, this would cause your 100% usage for the cpu, you need to take care of the cooling and see what temps you cpu is running in game ...
Try with HWiNFO for example, it will help you to narrow the cooling issue and frequency your cpu is running

That gave me a bellyful laugh. Solid state drives mechanically fail too, last I checked a year ago?

Also guys its safe to uninstall virus protection because they haven't been around in a decade. lol

I genuinely don't know why your in this conversation cause your not saying anything related to what were talking about. My hard drive isn't failing, the computer is only 5 months olds

I'll state it again. There's no memory leak. If you're having such issues, its not because of the game. I'm highlighting the things you say to make it apparent to others that there is nothing substantial to base a claim that there is one.

Also, you're asking regular gamers to play tech support for free. While its commendable for those making an earnest effort to help you, your OP is both misplaced and imagining problems that might mislead others to have the false idea.

This is a public forum, so understand that replies might not be directed at you. I don't intend to be rude to you, though I do fully intend to show others that your OP was ... a fanciful derision of your problem.

Yeah no ♥♥♥♥ cause you wouldn't know the answer so its just easier to say no then figure anything out.

Well, then how about you just don't answer on the thread instead of just saying "No memory" without explaining how i'm not even having a memory, this trash argument goes both ways

you said 2 things

No its not a memory leak and "your hard drive is failing" so you went from a useless statement with nothing describing how im NOT having a memory leak.

to my SSD is failing which if thats happening i wouldn't be talking about this single game having memory leak issues. i would be talking about how my computer is having BSOD issues in general. Bro, im talking about my CPU not my hard drive. These are 2 COMPLETELY different parts of the computer.

It is not my intent to flame war with you, but I don't care that you're offended. You made the title "memory leak issues". The music goes that you made a wildly baseless assumption, one that can mislead others.

I'm only responding to you now to remind you that you brought this to a public forum instead of tech support, again, and if your going to blame the game for things it isn't responsible for in a public forum, expect to have the material posted be identified as foolish.

I don't care what or who you are. I don't care if you change your ways. My response about the HD was in line with NoDMoD's comment, which is applicable to a suspicion of a memory leak. Again, at no point was it my intent to explicitly agitate you or to help you.

You got helped anyway. Hopefully, thanks to what I've said, others who come looking at this thread might be wise not to follow on your ways and instead post in tech support and not blame imaginary faults. Have a nice day.
