Constant Hive attacks
The Hive now attacks constantly with completely overpowering units. Robs the game of any interest.

Actually i love a lot of hive activity, gives me more chances to get more of them. They make for great solo base wreckers during war letting your fleets be busy elsewhere.

If they hit you too early and you don't want to deal with them, use the editor to delete them.

If you know where you've triggered them, you could reload a save and keep your explorers away. As long as there are no freighter routes going through the same area, you can trigger them at a later time when you're in a better, more capable position to deal with them.
The Hive is part of the game, and it's out there waiting for you, whether you started the game pre-warp or as a high-tech empire.

how to delete them? can only reduce its HP and shield but couldn´t find the delete button.

Delete is called Remove item under Remove items in the Game Editor...

To close the cycle, give me a break, if that's not a helpful answer :D

I tried 'settings' first. There's no option there for game editor.

There is no option under settings for game editor. These are what come up.

Main screen under settings: Game Settings

Under that, these are the options:

General
Display
Sound
Galaxy Map

None of these have an option for game editor. The only place that appears is in change key bindings, which key says 'none'.

Hello wm.j.olson. Hit the ESC key until you see the menu with the option to Quit and Save Game. That's where you'll find the editor. Once you get it open, it's simply a matter of experimentation until you are able to achieve whatever goals it is that you're after. Good luck.

Add key bind. Found it, but no option to remove hive. Ah, well.
