Oh - I think you mean the music (music is not sound, technically (!) - so, I'd recommend to update your thread accordingly
1.(quickest/easiest) you can turn it off in the settings of the main-menu !
2. You can delete or exchange all music-files in the folder in your game-directory (normally: "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Distant Worlds 2\data\music") - just make sure that they are in an MP3- / WMA- / or WAV-format and the game will play them instead the original files !
(Hint: if you only want to delete/exchange some files (or all) in the sub-folders make sure that you delete all the files in the folders above the sub-folders, because otherwise those are played additionally.
Yeah, if you zoom into your spaceports, its all you hear. An auto shop and a cacophony of warp drive sounds.
Yes, maybe - but that don't "load up when you play the game" (at least not automatically) and you also don't have/need "a track listing" - and the music sometimes also sounds like "an auto shop"...
Thanks again.
The sound design of DW2 is horrid.
