Weapon !
Which weapon u guys prefer early on since the starter missile kinda ' meh ' , which one has best over all stat like rate of fire , range and damage ?

The missile and beams are 'meh' in the early game, and blasters (lasers) underperform compared to railguns. Torpedoes can universally be a good choice, especially early. Railguns, if paired with the heavy variant, can give you the most destructive power. In any case, primarily focus on the weapon of choice.

There's a lot of niche situations and other considerations like resource availability, but generally the torpedo is the best all round performance weapon. Railguns if you are focusing on early fleets, if you use fast enough ships (90 sprint minimum).

It varies by race, but assuming you're micro-managing your fleet torpedoes + assault pod always gives me the best results.
However if you're fighting enemies who don't like armor plates on their ships (Zenox and Acks) Rail guns are extremely effective.

Generally your race specific weapons are a sound choice and torpedoes also effective.

Although developing missiles early isn't too bad, their range makes them superior for static defenses.

Ion, because you can disable almost every early-game ships and just destroy them without taking damage back.
