I thought this game literally died YEARS ago
So i remember buying this game in alpha stage only for it to go defunct and have its assets individually auctioned off. What makes this version any better as there are already mixed reviews on it??

So you remember wrong because the assets are free to the public to use in Unreal Engine. Epic abandoned the game to put their focus on Fortnite.

I remembered wrong? Better follow up with that statement rather than just talk about the ♥♥♥♥♥ assets. The actual paragon game DIED. I'm just wondering why it was picked up since it didn't even really make it never was released.

There are four Successor style games to Paragon because it developed a community that really loved the game. I believe so far, Fault, Predecessor, and Overprime have released into Early Access. We're still waiting on Core. Of the released games, Overprime has made the most iterations, having revamped a lot of the models to be much cuter, and having completely changed the center section of the map. Core promises to add a vertical layer to the game, with an upper floor, middle floor, and lower floor.

The original Paragon game never died. Epic tossed it in the trash despite a thriving community who loved it. Much like Perfect World did when they bought Motiga and shuttered my favorite game, Gigantic.

If that weren't true, there wouldn't be 4 companies trying to make a spiritual successor to Paragon and getting backing from tens of thousands of fans each. The fanbase is still very much alive. There will be mixed reviews on most early access titles; that's just how it goes. Balancing is hard, and currently ADCs are overtuned at the moment. The main problem with the game isn't anything to do with the game, it's the frequency in which people afk or dc. Once that issue is solved, the experience will be a bit better.

You really think the main issue is due in part of people DC'ing and Afk'ing? I remember the experience to be rather dismal as in a lot of people simply were not playing it. I asked a service rep to refund me my $60.00 for the founder's pack. Short months later they gave it to me for free out of the blue

Literally straight from my email dated 05/03/2016:

Hi ********,

Thank you for signing up for the Paragon Beta! We promised you free weekends, and here’s your first one. This week we’re running a Stress Test Weekend.

Because it’s a stress test, you may encounter connection issues and long matchmaking times. To help soften the blow, everyone will receive Double XP during the weekend. We’ll also be offering the Founder’s Pack (the entry-tier pack) for 50% off during this test if you want to stay in afterward.

With all this said, they really really need to stop placing their game in Early Access and learn to hire some quality QAs if they actually release this someday.

You gotta understand I don't have a good history with this title and to see it pop up just surprises me.
