Fun strategy game - not very chess like - played on a grid and the principal playable piece is a castle, otherwise a straight forward strat game. Level up your pieces rinse and repeat. Worth it, but better in a bundle |(how I got it) or on sale

This game runs such a good balance of tactical combat with roguelike variation and overpowered builds. You're only ever fielding three warriors on the field, each a variation on one of three archetypes, and as you clear waves of enemies you can upgrade those heroes to the build you want. Besides the heroes, you also have access to a few towers and magic spells, to be used at your disgression. With each wave, you'll need to adapt to the varied attacks of the new enemies and reconfigure your approach.
