i have a disc yet i still need one?

i have the disc for settlers but when i launch it and click play it says i need the disc even though the disc 1 is in the tray. i have tried disc 2 and the exspansion disc.

Try to uninstal and then instal it again ;)

tried that already... it just doesnt recognise that there is a disc in the pc

i have only 1 disc drive. i used the discs to install the main game and expansion.

can you right click on the disc in my computer and then click open

if you have windows7 i think you can loungh the game when you have the disc in from here:

Settlers: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Blue Byte\THE SETTLERS - Heritage of Kings\bin

Expansion disc: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Blue Byte\THE SETTLERS - Heritage of Kings\extra1\bin

and if it's a windows xp go to

this computer > C: > programs > ubisoft > blue byte > the settlers - heritage of kings > bin

and expansion disc go to

this computer > C: > programs > ubisoft > blue byte > the settlers - heritage of kings > extra1 > bin

i did that and im on windows 8. the game launches and has the pre game menu but a message just pops up saying i need to insert a disc

Damn it :( if your disc is not clean try to wash it and try again :)

i think ill leave it for now anyway, get the download version instead maybe.

ok :) anyway i think you can get the expansion disc of me (i can send you the files) and then i think you can play it if you buy the standard settlers on steam... it works with the disc.
