Need help to run the settlers: Heritage of Kings on windows 7

Need help to fix my problem with this game. Have the CD-disk and can't get it to work. I can install the game but i can't play it because I get up an error box, when I try to play. Saw that people can play the game on windows 7 but how? :)

Do you get an Error like "You need to put in the CD"?
Thats totally Fixable!

When I click on the game, an error box pops up and says "Please login with administrator privileges and try again". I have not followed your method yet but do you think that your way will solve my problem? Thanks for your help!

The First Method with "I cant update" could solve your Problem. Some People with this Problem solved their Problem with this. But some other dont could solve their problem. You will need luck if this will help or not.

Write again if you tested.

It works but now when i come in the game a square box pops up and says:
Not Optimum Mode
Recommended settings:
1920 X 1200 60Hz
After few secoonds the game turns black and you only hear the music from the game.
